HAS HALF THE U.S. POPULATION GONE NUTS? (12/1/20)

About half of U.S. adults (51%) now say they would definitely or probably get a vaccine to prevent COVID-19 if it were available today. But sadly nearly as many (49%) say they definitely or probably would not get vaccinated at this time. Democrats and those who lean to the Democratic Party are 14 percentage points more likely than Republicans and Republican leaners to say they would probably or definitely get a vaccine (58% vs. 44%). Black adults are much less likely to say they would get a vaccine than other Americans: Just 32% of Black adults say they would definitely or probably get a COVID-19 vaccine, compared with 52% of White adults, 56% of Hispanics and nearly three-quarters (72%) of Asian Americans. Those low numbers will kill a tragic number of Blacks in the next six months. This is the time for Black Lives Matter to come forward and help save Black lives that matter to us all. Let me put those cold statistics into plain English. By this time next year, half the population is going to get vaccinated and survive COVID-19 but the other half of the population will do nothing, get quite sick, and some will die. What a waste. This is insane. The public is confused and tired of listening to politicians who make proclamations about fighting the coronavirus, often when they don’t know what they are talking about. Let’s get some advertising out to sell the idea of getting vaccinated to save as many people as we can. Let’s get the TV networks, Facebook, Google, Instagram and all the social media sites to contribute some free time for some pro-vaccine information and advertising that can save lives. Let’s ask a celebrity like LeBron James to lend his great power to a message that encourages everyone to get a vaccine as soon as possible. Something like: “Hi, this is LeBron James and I want you to help me to make this a better world, by staying alive.

“When you get the vaccine you’re helping to protect everyone around you and you’re showing the world how much your life and the lives of your loved ones matters to you.

“I don’t want your last words to be ‘Why didn’t I get the COVID-19 vaccine when it was offered to me?’”

As an advertising person I would like to offer my services for free towards educating the public about why they should protect themselves with a vaccine. It’s an assignment I will accept in the name of my brother Joe Della Femina, who passed in March from COVID-19, long before there was any chance of a vaccine that would have saved his life. I’m sure I can get some great advertising creative stars like my partner Ron Travisano, Rich Russo, Frank DiGiacomo, Tom Messner, Mark Yustein, Neil Drossman, Paul Kruger to come up with a pro-vaccine advertising campaign that will save thousands of lives.

******************************************************** IF BIDEN WAS A REPUBLICAN… The New York Times would report how Biden broke a few bones in his foot this way: The “accident” when President-elect Biden broke his foot on Sunday, while playing with his “alleged” dog “Major,” is seen by many Washington insiders as being suspicious. White House sources said the 78-year-old, elderly Republican President-elect slipped and tripped on his dog. One source speculated, “One of them was drunk, either the President-elect or his German shepherd.” Naturally, the scheming, ambitious Republican Vice President-elect Kamala Harris rushed to the White House and announced that while the President-elect was “hobbled and confused wearing a huge walking boot,” she was taking over the affairs of running the government for the next four years or until he recovers, “if ever that happens.”

SINCE BIDEN IS A DEMOCRAT… The pro-Trump New York Post reported the Biden fractured-foot accident with a headline that laughed at him: JOE HURT AS POOCH PLAYS RUFF
